Ingredients in Homemade Nuts and Bolts Recipe

Cheerios, regular, or if you like a hint of sweetness, use honey nut cheerios.

Cheerios in a large bowl.

Shreddies, I really do love the way the shreddies absorb the flavors and crisp up! If you are in the U.S. Wheat Chex works as a substitute.

Pretzels, this is a staple ingredient in Nuts and Bolts, of course the shape of the pretzels doesn’t matter.

Nuts, I use salted mixed nuts, but you can use just peanuts or leave the nuts completely out.

Butter, I use salted. Margarine will work as well in this recipe.

Seasonings, which are worcestershire sauce, celery salt, onion salt, garlic salt, sugar (remember that a little sugar enhances salty flavors), and cayenne pepper. I use just a bit to add a touch of spice.
