Ingredients for Banana Cream Pie Bars
For the crust
- Butter, as always, salted to boost the flavor.
- Graham crumbs
- Sugar, just 2 Tbsp, or you can leave out if preferred.
2nd layer of Banana Cream Pie Bars
- Instant vanilla pudding, make sure it isn't the baked kind.
- Milk, use the amount in the recipe which is a little less than what the box says. This will make the pudding firm enough to cut.
- Sliced bananas, make sure they are ripe but firm as over ripe will be mushy.

- Instant butterscotch pudding
- Milk
Topping
- Cool whip, Dreamwhip, or other non-dairy whipped topping or sweetened whipped cream.
- Reserved graham crumbs for sprinkling on top.
How to make Banana Cream Pie Bars
For the crust
1.Melt butter in microwave. Then, in a small bowl, combine the graham crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Reserve 3 Tbsp of crumb mixture
2.Press remaining crumb mixture firmly in bottom of ungreased 9x13 inch pan.
2nd layer
1.Whisk Vanilla pudding and milk in a small bowl until smooth and starting to thicken.
2.Spread evenly on top of the graham crust.
3.Arrange sliced bananas on top of pudding.
3rd layer
1.Whisk the butterscotch pudding and milk in a seperate small bowl until smooth and starting to thicken.
2.Spread evenly on top of the banana slices.
Topping
1.Spread the whipped topping on the butterscotch layer.
2.Sprinkle with reserved graham crumb mixture.
3.Chill for a few hours before cutting.
