Frozen Drumstick Dessert has 3 layers. A graham, crunchy, peanut butter crust, sweet cream cheese, cool whip, peanut butter ice cream layer and melted chocolate drizzled on the top. Peanuts sprinkled on the top add extra crunch.
Perfect for summer, when it's too hot to bake, this frozen drumstick dessert is a refreshing, light, cold, treat. Whether you call it drumstick ice cream cake or pie, or drumstick layered dessert it always turns out absolutely delicious and is one of the best summer desserts ever!
My husband's Aunt Marion often has this yummy frozen dessert in her freezer! This is where I was first introduced to drumstick dessert and this recipe is actually hers. I just leave out the raw eggs because of a pregnant daughter and young grandson. It turns out just as well without the eggs and it is safer to eat for vulnerable people.

Ingredients
-Graham wafer crumbs
-Butter, I do always use butter but hard margarine would be fine and not make any difference with the flavor.
-Peanut butter, just 2 Tbsp in the crust and another 1/2 cup in the cream cheese mixture.
-Crushed peanuts, for the crust and the topping.
-Cream cheese
-Icing sugar for the cream cheese layer.
-Vanilla extract
-Cool Whip, Dream whip, or any other brand of whipped topping.
-Chocolate chips, these are melted with cream for drizzling on the top.
-Cream
How to make Frozen Drumstick Dessert
1.Melt the butter and 2 Tablespoons of peanut butter in microwaveable bowls for 30 seconds.
2.In a small bowl, combine the graham wafers, peanuts, butter, and peanut butter until crumbly. Then spread in a 9x13 inch dish. Press down firmly.
3.In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, 1/2 cup of peanut butter, icing sugar, and vanilla extract.
4.Fold in the cool whip.
5.Spread on the graham crust.
6.Melt the chocolate chips and cream in the microwave in short intervals, stirring between.
7.Drizzle the melted chocolate on the top.
8.Sprinkle the 1/2 cup crushed peanuts.
9.Freeze for at least 8 hours. Let sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before cutting it.
