Ingredients for broccoli quiche.

Ingredients in Broccoli Quiche Recipe

  • Butter, just for sauteeing the onion and mushrooms.
  • Onion, chopped pretty small.
  • Mushrooms, I slice them now that my children will eat them, but when they were younger I would chop them very tiny so they were just brown specks in the quiche and my lovely non-mushroom eating children would be none the wiser;-0
  • Flour, this will thicken the quiche.
  • Salt and pepper, just to taste.
  • Milk, I use whole milk but if you want it creamier, choose the fat level in your milk/cream you prefer.
  • Eggs, like I said before, this recipe only needs 3.
  • Broccoli, chopped and cooked. To cook just toss into boiling water and stir for 2 minutes maximum, then drain.
  • Cheddar cheese, grated, you can use either medium or sharp cheddar. I prefer the old/sharp cheddar for the abundance of flavor.
  • Pie crust, enough to line one 9 inch pie plate.
