This thick and rich hot fudge sauce is made similar to how you make fudge, only way easier. The chocolate chips are mixed in once the evaporated milk, icing sugar, butter, and corn syrup have boiled for 8 minutes. Then once you add the chocolate chips, you stir it quite a while, until it is a smooth, thick, fudgy texture. No need for a candy thermometer, this hot fudge sauce turns out every time!

How to make Hot Fudge Sauce

1.Place all ingredients except the chocolate chips in a medium sized saucepan.

2.Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Then boil for 8 minutes.

Do not boil the chocolate chips with the milk and sugar mixture. If chocolate chips get too hot they will be grainy.

When you add the chocolate chips, stir the mixture vigorously to mix air in and cool it, kind of like with fudge making.

Make sure to stir continuously when you're bringing the milk and sugar mixture to a boil.

You can add a teaspoon of vanilla to the fudge sauce when you add the chocolate chips.
